Heart Shaped Ribbon Wreath!!

So here is a cute Valentines heart wreath I decided to try...it was actually VERY easy to do, just required a little time and patience! Figure a few movies or some DVR time to get it done! I caught up on all those shows I have been saving and even watched a few concerts on the Palladia channel! It was very peaceful to make this!
First you gather all of your items!
I bought the wire wreath form from Hobby Lobby---it was about $4.00 plus I had a coupon!!! There was some Grosgrain ribbon (I used the grosgrain because it was the same on both sides of the ribbon--something I learned from a wreath gone bad a while back!) I used a red, a hot pink, and then a light pink...I alternated on each wire the exact same---RED, HOT PINK, LIGHT PINK, RED, HOT PINK, LIGHT PINK...etc--it all works out nicely! I probably used about 6 spools of each---but I tied mine really tightly together---REALLY tightly---so you could probably get away with less if you just loosened it up a bit!--I cut the ribbon into 4 inch lengths (see the piece of blue tape as my ribbon template---we are real fancy here!!!lol) Then you just tie---I only made a simple one-time tie--not an actual knot---but again---I tied it tightly!
You just keep on tying and pushing them together, tying a pushing them together, and so on until you are done! (a note: After I was done with the wreath---I pushed and pulled all of the loose ribbon ends towards the front of the wreath---just to keep the fullness!) I added a cute ribbon that I made duo-color...I took a thicker red grosgrain ribbon and ran a thin length of double-sided tape down the middle and attached the thinner hot pink ribbon to it---simple! Tied it around the back of a piece of the wreath and added a simple bow to the front! DONE!!!
I love it---Cute as can be!!! And I will admit to having an 8 year old helper cutting my ribbons for me too!!!! My daughter loves to assist in all my crafting projects! Hope you enjoy this tutorial---please comment and feel free to ask any questions of something I have not addressed! Thanks! Happy Valentines Day Everyone!
